Job Description
The Adult Education Advisor works with students providing face-to-face mentoring, resources, and tools to overcome barriers and achieve post-secondary education. Hosts weekly educational workshops, provides information on post-secondary opportunities, and assists with career exploration and financial aid.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Social Work, Counselling or related field
- Excellent communication, diplomatic and cooperative skills
- Knowledge of financial aid resources and college application process
- Knowledge of other languages or ability to work with people from different cultures
- Ability to administer and interpret tests used for career planning
