We are seeking a Full-Time Career Coach to join our Calumet DV Housing Team at Metropolitan Family Services. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in providing workforce development/case management, with a focus on at-risk populations.
Requirements
- Perform situational assessments and vocational exploration activities
- Assess and addresses barriers to employment
- Develop, implement, and monitor individual employment plans
- Coordinate and communicate with referral sources, community-based organizations, and other workforce providers
- Monitor employment retention, secure employment verifications, and enter proof of employment into required database
- Utilize a team approach and work with other workforce staff to plan, implement and reach programs deliverables and goals
- Maintain job seekers physical and electronic files in funder required database
- Facilitates Job Readiness Training and other group activities
- Assists Job Seekers with creating and editing resumes and cover letters
- Conducts mock interviews
- Assist in establishing employment goals
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office
