Job Description
MGE Underground is seeking a skilled Mechanic to maintain and repair heavy-duty equipment, including hydraulic, electrical, and gas/diesel systems. The role involves diagnosing problems, performing preventative maintenance, and assisting with inspections. The position offers opportunities for promotion and advancement with a focus on safety, development, and performance.
Requirements
- Ability to learn various processes.
- Excellent communication and reading/writing skills.
- Valid Class C Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 4+ years of heavy-duty equipment service and repair experience.
- Minimum 4 years with hydraulics, diesel engines, and DOT/BIT.
- One year experience with air brakes.
- Experience with vehicle electrical and computer-controlled systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and extended hours.
