Job Description
Michael Baker International is seeking a Bridge Technical Manager for their engineering group in Columbia, SC. This role combines project design and discipline lead responsibilities, reporting to the Structural Department Manager. The selected candidate will work on a range of projects, leading structural tasks, coordinating project activities, communicating with clients, and mentoring junior staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering
- Eligibility for South Carolina PE license within six months
- 10-15+ years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of South Carolina bridge design and maintenance policies and procedures
- Experience with bridge analysis and design using finite element software
- Seismic design experience
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel)
