Job Description
Equinix is seeking a Critical Facilities Engineer Trainee to participate in their DoD SkillBridge Fellowship Program. The program is designed to help military service members and spouses transition into a civilian career in the technology industry. The trainee will learn about digital infrastructure, critical facilities, and data center operations, and will have the opportunity to earn real-world industry qualifications and certifications.
Requirements
- Technical associates degree, military-technical school, or civilian technical trade school completion
- Working on bachelor's degree or relevant experience with 1-4 years in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Comprehensive knowledge of critical infrastructure i.e., UPS, generator, BMS, chillers, life safety systems
- Coursework in HVAC design or heat transfer and thermodynamics
- Knowledge of HVAC testing and balancing methodologies
- Knowledge of IT hardware and other data center operations functions
