Shipping Associate responsible for accurate and efficient rolls, packaging, and labeling of finished products. Work 2nd shift, 2PM-10PM.
Requirements
- Move material to/from raw, WIP, Finishing, Receiving, and Manufacturing areas and accurately record production data and movement of materials in the Inventory Management System.
- Pick up and transfer material racks, pallets, and other consumable supplies to/from production areas as required.
- Unload/load trucks/tankers with incoming/outgoing materials. - Verify materials against receiving/shipping documents.
- Complete warehouse and departmental cycles counts and correct discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory of packaging materials and finished goods.
- Maintain proper documentation for quality control and traceability.
- Request packaging materials to ensure adequate supplies.
- Efficiently utilize materials to minimize waste.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area and condense warehouse using 5S principles.
- Assist in equipment maintenance activities as directed.
- Properly handle and dispose of hazardous waste materials under Environmental Control Instructions.
- Interpret and follow product specifications and work orders.
- Monitor and report on key performance issues.
- Inspect finished products for quality defects and ensure proper labeling.
- Package finished goods according to customer requirements and Avery Dennison procedures, including the use of the Exact program.
- Communicate and coordinate necessary information to appropriate department/shift employees to ensure effective operations.
- Lead in the recycling of pallets, cardboard, and scrap materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
