Job Description
We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to join our team, who can move between web programming languages quickly, understand requirements, and work through details in an agile environment. The ideal candidate will participate in the development of BabyCenter's US Community site and other PHP sites, and collaborate with the Product Team to develop new products and features.
Requirements
- 3+ years' experience with PHP and LAMP stack
- Experience with Zend Framework 1 (or another PHP MVC framework)
- 2+ years' unit-testing experience (e.g. PHPUnit)
- Experience in OO (object-oriented) design & re-factoring following a TDD (test-driven-development)
- Working knowledge of GIT and gitflow
- Working knowledge of JavaScript and JQuery
- Experience in working in a cross-functional, team-based agile environment
- Strong professional, communication skills
- MIS, computer science degree, or equivalent experience
