Commercial Procurement Leader

We are seeking an outstanding commercial specialist to work on a wide range of significant projects for the New Zealand Government. The successful candidate will assist government agencies to plan and structure commercial projects and work programmes whilst meaningfully engaging with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Commercial experience in any of Commercial Strategy/Planning/Management, Procurement, ICT, Social Services/Investment, or Health.
• Experience contributing to high-profile and/or high-value commercial projects, implementing best practice and innovation.
• Ability to deliver successful outcomes in demanding, fast-paced environments.
• Principled, yet pragmatic and solutions-focused, approach to commercial issues.
• Strong client service ethic and good relationship management skills.
• Ability to work on and effectively balance multiple projects simultaneously.
• In-depth understanding of procurement principles and processes in area of specialism and understanding of te ao Māori would be an advantage.
• Relevant qualification or membership in area of specialism or related business discipline (for example, MCIPS) is desirable.
