Accountant

Mitacs is seeking an Accountant to join their team on a 10-month contract. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accounts receivable and payable systems, creating and processing invoices, and responding to customer inquiries. The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary education, commercial or business experience, and basic knowledge of accounting principles.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education
• Commercial or business experience with training in an accounts payable role
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and functions
• 1+ years accounts receivable accounting work experience
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication skills
• Self-motivation and ability to work in a remote team environment
• Knowledge of written and spoken English
