Founding Engineer

MLabs is seeking a Founding Engineer to build the core of their data extraction, retrieval, and validation platform for financial firms. This role is crucial in the early stages of the company, involving system architecture, full-stack delivery, AI optimization, automation, and strategic collaboration. The position offers significant equity and the potential to grow into a CTO role within a fast-paced startup environment.

Requirements

• 2+ years of full-time experience in full stack, backend, or infrastructure engineering (not including internships)
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience in backend, data, and UI layers
• Experience in Python and familiarity with TypeScript
• Genuine excitement about working with AI and LLMs
• Comfort with ambiguity and ownership of features
• A mix of high competence, strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and kindness
