Staff Software Engineer, Machine Learning

MLabs is a rapidly growing AI company applying Large Language Models to transform healthcare. This staff software engineer role will focus on building and scaling LLM backend systems, including APIs, data pipelines, and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in backend architecture, AI, and cloud-native technologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend or full-stack software engineering experience
• 3+ years of experience working on ML/LLM-enabled applications
• Strong expertise in Python
• Experience with LLM integration frameworks (Hugging Face, LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI APIs, Anthropic)
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, and API design at scale
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Familiarity with MLOps/LLMOps practices
