Job Description
Modular is revolutionizing AI infrastructure by rebuilding the AI software stack and empowering developers with accessible tools. This role involves leading debugging initiatives for Mojo, a platform combining performance and expressiveness. The ideal candidate will design, build, and maintain debugging tools and interactive programming environments to significantly improve developer productivity and foster an inclusive engineering culture.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in systems programming, debugging infrastructure, or related tools
- Hands-on experience with modern debugger internals (GDB or LLDB) and a strong understanding of the DWARF debugging format.
- Familiarity with LLVM and MLIR, particularly in systems or compiler-related contexts.
- Excellent programming skills in C++, or other relevant systems programming focused languages.
- Strong understanding of computer architecture and operating systems.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Deep knowledge of OS internals, including process layout, threading models, and signal handling on Linux and macOS.
- Experience building or extending developer tooling in VSCode.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
