Medior Data Software Engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure necessary for storing and processing large volumes of data, working closely with data scientists and analysts to ensure data is organized and accessible for analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field or similar project involvement
- 3+ years of domain experience
- Experience with data storage technologies, such as SQL and NoSQL databases
- Proficiency in SQL for complex data querying, optimization, and database administration tasks in relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
- Understanding of ETL processes and Data Warehousing concepts
- Strong programming skills, particularly in languages such as Python and Java
- Expertise in designing scalable and secure database systems capable of handling large volumes of data
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
- Experience with Big Data Technologies
- Proficiency in Data Integration Tools
- Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Practical experience generating process documentation and reports
- Professional usage of Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather requirements
- Proven ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards
- Ability to critically evaluate information, reconcile conflicts, and transform high-level information into actionable insights while identifying core user needs
