The Manager, Public Engagement works to advance adult programs at the Museum of Modern Art, fostering new ideas and connections through art, providing new platforms and means to catalyze meaningful experiences with art.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in art history, art education, museum studies or fine/studio arts
- Minimum of eight years proven experience in a museum setting, including three or more years in a leadership role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well and collaborate effectively with a wide range of audiences
- Demonstrated commitment to values of diversity, inclusion and learner-centered interpretation strategies
- Experience supervising personnel, program and budget development, project management and planning skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
