Tax Examiner 1 - Compliance Unit

The Montana Department of Revenue is seeking a Tax Examiner 1 to join their Business and Income Taxes Division. The successful candidate will perform technical level examinations on assigned tax returns, assist with audit programs and procedures, and provide customer service to taxpayers and other department programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, business administration, or public administration
• One year of job-related work experience in auditing, tax examination, or accounting practices
• Ability to conduct research, verify data, and adjust returns
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
