Requirements

Conduct comprehensive assessments of newborns and premature infants during in-house care.
Formulate and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings, collaborating with neonatologists and specialists.
Provide direct patient care, including neonatal stabilization, respiratory management, and ongoing monitoring.
Conduct thorough pre-transport assessments to ensure the safe transport of critically ill infants.
Provide neonatal stabilization and respiratory management during ground and fixed-wing transports.
Collaborate closely with neonatologists, nursing staff, respiratory therapists, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Effectively communicate patient status, treatment plans, and changes to the interdisciplinary team.
Provide education and support to families during both in-house care and transport, offering guidance on infant care, feeding, and developmental milestones.
Offer mentorship and support to nursing staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize neonatal care practices.
Contribute to evidence-based practice projects and stay current on advancements in neonatal healthcare.
