Product Legal Counsel, Borrowing

Monzo is seeking a Product Legal Counsel to advise on the legal aspects of building and growing its innovative banking products, particularly mortgage and consumer finance. The role involves working closely with legal, product, and risk teams to ensure compliance with regulations and provide high-quality legal advice to Monzo's Borrowing Collective. This position is a key role supporting Monzo's UK legal operations and will allow you to contribute to a world-class legal team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant post-qualification experience in banking and finance, with a focus on mortgages and consumer finance.
• Strong advising experience on banking products with mortgages and consumer finance.
• Experience advising on financial services regulations like MCOBS and CCA.
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide clear legal advice.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience drafting regulated financial promotions.
• Experience advising on credit agreements.
• Experience with customer-facing terms and conditions.
