Job Description
Morrison Child and Family Services is seeking a Milieu Counselor to provide direct care supervision of Unaccompanied Children (UC) in a 24-hour shelter for male and female minors. This role involves providing vital support to minors under the jurisdiction of the Office of Refugee Resettlement, ensuring safety and wellbeing, and conducting behavioral management and crisis intervention. The position involves assisting with all aspects of care, including needs assessment, basic needs provision, social skills instruction, and adherence to program policies.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 1 year employment experience in the child welfare field
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, databases, Outlook)
- Knowledge of program policy and procedure, prioritizing safety and security
- CPR/First Aid certification
- TB test within 30 days of employment
- Criminal history background check (through Morrison and U.S. Office of Personnel Management)
- Proof of Vaccination
- Passing all applicable training
