Milieu Supervisor oversees daily management of the milieu and community settings, providing leadership and training of milieu staff, and support and supervision of clients in residential youth programs.
Requirements
- Plan and coordinate the milieu schedule and milieu events to ensure the safety and security of youth is maintained.
- Schedule Milieu Counselor shifts that provide for the daily coverage adhering to regulations of staff to client ratio and coverage at all times.
- Completes and reviews incident reports in a timely manner.
- Participates in the development of behavior plans.
- Monitors clients when in the community to ensure safety.
- Coordinates transport for youth
- Provides leadership and direct supervision to assigned staff
- Provide supervision and performance evaluations following agency protocol and policy.
- Implement discipline and termination procedures when needed; monitor and review work performed under the direction of the Assistant Program Director.
- Ensure all staff are trained as stated in guidelines for program, agency and grant requirements.
- Provide regular individual supervisory meetings with staff and team meetings.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team (case management, clinical, education, medical, etc.),
- Adheres to program, agency and contract quality assurance standards.
- Completes timesheet and other personnel administrative records as required.
- Demonstrate a commitment to developing a thorough knowledge and application of the Sanctuary model and other organizational policies & practices.
- Participate in staff development, in-services, and training related to workplace effectiveness; model professional behaviors and implement improvements to business practices with awareness of their impact in a trauma-informed behavioral healthcare organization.
