Senior Electrical Superintendent I

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Superintendent I to coordinate project site work activities and supervise on-site work teams for multiple construction projects or large, complex construction projects.

Requirements

• Coordinate work projects within the electrical scope of the building site
• Ensure the high-quality installation of electrical portions of project
• Provide drawing, constructability, submittal reviews, and feedback with the engineering team
• Supervise and ensure quality control of work team
• Manage the interface with appropriate personnel concerned with the connection of the project power grid to the existing distribution system
• Lead the installation, splicing, and termination of fiber optic cables
• Attend and participate in project meetings
• Ensure correct implementation of the Mortenson Project Quality Plan (PQP)
• Oversee electrical sub-contractors
• Monitor Safety, Quality, and Efficiency of subcontracted work on every project
• Coach, mentor and train field personnel, forepersons, and assistant superintendents
• Provide work direction and performance evaluations
• Identify hiring needs and participate in hiring, discipline, and dismissal decisions as needed
• Manage open shop and union issues
• Maintain relationships with all visitors to the site
