Windsor Salt is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of environmental and health and safety programs, policies, and procedures. The successful candidate will bring a proactive and collaborative approach, supporting all departments in fostering a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree in Environmental Sciences or a related discipline and a diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
- Certified in Occupational Health and Safety (as per the Occupational Health and Safety Act/Regulations)
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in environmental and health & safety roles, preferably in an industrial or mining environment
- Strong working knowledge of environmental regulations and OHS legislation, including OHSA, WSIB/WCB, and the Human Rights Code
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing environmental strategies and monitoring environmental performance
- Proven ability to lead incident investigations and environmental audits
- Experience managing workers’ compensation claims and related procedures
- Strong communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety/environmental management systems
