Job Description
The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow in molecular biology to investigate the role of inhibition of arginine methylation in splicing fidelity. The role involves designing experiments and analyzing data to identify the molecular basis of PRMT inhibition's selective killing of cancers and the impact on MYC-overexpressing lymphomas. The fellowship offers significant impact and may lead to therapeutic opportunities in cancer research.
Requirements
- Strong background in Mouse models of cancer, Molecular Biology and RNA biology is appreciated.
- Ph.D. degree in molecular biology or similar.
- Strong background in cancer, RNA/chromatin biology and familiarity with recent advances in these fields and NGS technologies.
- Excellent communication and teaching skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
