Job Description
MSTI is seeking a Recovery and Waste Process Engineer to contribute to the design and development of manufacturing processes for nuclear fuel elements, specifically TRISO-X. The role involves leading process areas, developing advanced manufacturing techniques, ensuring quality control, and collaborating with various teams to optimize processes and comply with regulations. The engineer will focus on waste handling, equipment layout, and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, nuclear engineering, material science, material science engineering, mechanical engineering, or another related field.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Experience with industrial equipment design, procurement, installation, and operation.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products.
- Knowledge of nuclear fuel cycle and experience with powder processing (optional).
- Ability to work in a team and handle hazardous materials (required).
