The Chemical Operator I will operate multiple equipment systems, clean and maintain plant manufacturing areas, and attend safety sessions. The role requires a high school diploma, 2+ years of manufacturing experience, and basic math and computer skills.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED.)
- Minimum two years experience in a manufacturing environment; chemical industry preferred.
- Ability to function independently in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of hazardous waste materials and the appropriate handling and disposal of such products.
- Basic mathematical and computer literacy skills.
- Superior verbal and written English communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic manufacturing safety and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing specifications and raw materials preferred.
- Current tow motor/forklift operator certification/license preferred.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Adherence to Company attendance and punctuality policies and standards and corporate values.
- Ability to work overtime and shifts.
- Ability to meet and maintain established occupational demands and fitness for duty requirements.
- Maintenance experience with process equipment repairs, electrical, piping, cutting and welding is preferred.
