Job Description
Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking an Associate Director, Procurement to lead global strategic sourcing for Animal Health Manufacturing. The role involves leading people, procurement leadership, project management, proactive cost management, stakeholder engagement, strategy development, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Science, or Business fields
- 10+ years procurement and business management experience in manufacturing environment or company
- 5+ years hands-on work experience in strategic sourcing, API or direct materials management, contract negotiations and execution
- Experience working with suppliers and customers across the world in the pharmaceutical industry
- Excellent English speaking, writing and presentation skills
- Project management experience in strategic sourcing projects
- High degree of flexibility and adaptability to deal with ambiguous and dynamic situations
