Physical Therapist-part time

Advanced Houston Specialty Hospital is looking for a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team of health care professionals in a newly renovated facility. The Physical Therapist Assistant provides rehabilitative services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Requirements

• Administer therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and other interventions as outlined in the treatment plan by the supervising PT.
• Instruct and motivate patients in safe performance of prescribed activities to restore strength, mobility, and functional skills.
• Monitor and document patient progress, tolerance, and response to interventions.
• Report changes in patient condition to the supervising Physical Therapist for treatment plan adjustments.
• Educate patients on safe movement patterns, proper body mechanics, and injury prevention techniques.
• Assist in preparing treatment areas and equipment, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and compliance with infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with correctional healthcare staff to coordinate patient care and maintain security procedures.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in medical records per facility and regulatory standards.
• Support staff training initiatives on patient mobility, safety, and injury prevention as needed.
