Job Description
Muon is seeking a Senior Mission Lead Systems Engineer to join their Mission Engineering team in Mountain View, CA. This role will focus on technical leadership for a specific Muon mission, covering end-to-end mission development, execution, and monitoring. The engineer will work with customers, systems, and teams to achieve mission success for demanding government and commercial programs, with a focus on high-reliability systems. The position requires a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Requirements
- M.S. or higher degree in an engineering field
- 10+ years of experience in mission architecture and/or spacecraft design
- Demonstrated experience as a technical lead (e.g., Chief Engineer, Lead Systems Engineer)
- Experience with USG/IC acquisition programs and standards
- Strong understanding of USG/IC contracts and their artifacts
