Job Description
The Our Kids After Hours Nurse Practitioner role provides after-hours coverage at our pediatric facility. Responsibilities include triage, forensic medical evaluations, and collaboration with law enforcement and community partners in sexual abuse investigations. The role is a pool/PRN position, requiring a commitment to team collaboration and a strong work ethic.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program Master’s Degree
- Current TN Advanced Practice Nursing or Physician Assistant License
- Childhood/adolescent population pediatric experience (1+ year)
- One year recent pediatric experience
- 1 year APN/PA experience with pediatric population (1+ year)
- Sexual assault exam experience (strongly preferred)
- Broad knowledge of family violence and child abuse issues
- Knowledge of criminal justice and child protection systems (desirable)
