Dental Lab Technician Trainee

Requirements

• Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist
• Break processed removable restorations out of flasks and match back to the correct case pan
• Remove excess acrylic flash using burs and/or cutting wheels
• Remove excess acrylic from metal areas of partial dentures and from teeth
• Add final anatomy to present an aesthetic appearance and good function
• Seat back to models to check for correct fit; adjust if necessary
• Repair any areas of the acrylic that have holes, porosity or scarring using cold cure acrylic technique
• Final polish using pumice and high shine materials
• Maintain a clean work area
• All other duties as assigned
