The National Geographic Society is seeking a Film & Video Editor to join their Impact Story Lab team. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in editing and motion graphics, with a strong portfolio of visual storytelling and a deep understanding of video production workflow.
Requirements
- Editing (40%): Craft compelling, original stories from a variety of source media, including field video, stock footage, photos, maps, and motion graphics.
- Motion Graphics (25%): Using Adobe After Effects, create unique motion graphics for individual videos, as well as graphic templates that can be applied by other editors.
- Final Finishing (25%): Perform color correction and audio mix according to the technical specifications of various distribution platforms.
- Post Production Workflows and Media Management (10%): Contribute to decisions on hardware needs, software needs, and post-production workflows.
