Job Description
The Medical Assistant is a temporary, 3-6 month position to assist the nursing department. Responsibilities include recording patient data, scheduling appointments, performing standard procedures, and collecting samples. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a commitment to NHF's focus on reducing health disparities.
Requirements
- Medical Assistant certification required
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Familiarity with HIPAA (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of professionalism
- Familiarity with behavioral health (preferred)
- Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills
