The Supervisor, Facility Maintenance provides leadership and oversight for all building operations and maintenance activities to ensure facilities, equipment, and systems are safe, functional, and compliant with regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Executes maintenance and repair work requiring a high level of skill, technical expertise, proper training, and experience in accordance with current industry standards.
- Performs skilled tasks to support the facilities help request system. Responds to customer requests in a timely manner, maintains records of all job assignments, and their status.
- Creates and maintains adequate maintenance records of all assigned equipment and building systems using hardcopy logs, spreadsheets, and CMMS programs.
- Interfaces directly with internal and external customers at all organizational levels.
- Shares knowledge and acts as a mentor to the facilities team to improve their knowledge and skills.
- Organizes and helps in the relocation of furniture, equipment, and other materials within local and outlying regions, providing maximum efficiency in the utilization of university resources.
- Oversees work of outside contractors to ensure quality, safety, and time completion of the specified job.
- Responsible to ensure all facility department areas are maintained clean, orderly, and fully stocked of required parts and supplies.
- Provides continuous quality improvement.
- Leads, trains, and assists in scheduling Facilities Maintenance staff.
- Assigns work tickets and monitors progress to ensure timely completion.
- Prepares reports on maintenance activities, equipment status, and staff performance.
- Works with vendors/contractors on scheduling work.
- Assists with developing department budget.
