Job Description
Navarro Research and Engineering is seeking a Software Developer to join their team in Niskayuna, NY. This position is part of an award-winning federal contract supporting clean energy initiatives within the nuclear and environmental fields, focusing on developing and integrating software solutions within a DevOps environment. Navarro offers an exceptional team and commitment to quality and safety.
Requirements
- Active DOE Q Clearance or DOD equivalent
- 5-10 years of experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Git, and git hosting services (bitbucket or github)
- Knowledge of Package management tools (conda, spack, lmod)
- Working experience with Vscode
- Linux/ Unix CLI and ssh
- Basic understanding of Container related technology (Docker, podman, kuberneties)
- Experience with core programming languages (java, python, c/c++)
- Demonstrated experience with software development process implementation
- CI/CD processes/tools (jenkins, github actions, tekton)
- Understanding of software pipeline development/management integration
- Interpreting and troubleshooting error messages
- Experience in offline environments
