Job Description
The New River Valley New Life Recovery Center is seeking a full-time Peer Recovery Specialist and/or Peer Recovery Trainee to provide non-clinical, person-centered, wellness-focused support to engage clients in treatment and promote use of the client's wellness recovery plan.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Mental health or substance use disorder that has impacted your life for two years or more
- 1 year in recovery
- Certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist or demonstrated work towards certification
- Ability to speak multiple languages (optional)
