Nature Camp Educator (Summer)

Co-lead a group of students in sensory play, nature crafts, and explorations at the New York Botanical Garden grounds during a 3-week nature camp. Develop and lead active science and nature programs and activities, and assist with planning and coordinating the daily and weekly camp schedule.

Requirements

• Outgoing and friendly with excellent oral communication skills
• Experience teaching outdoors with groups of children with varied learning needs
• Relevant student age group experience (entering Pre-K-Kindergarten)
• Background in science, education, and/or museum studies
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
• Experience teaching engaging inquiry-based lessons with live plants and living organisms
