Children’s Music Instructor

We're seeking passionate and playful Children’s Music Instructors to lead music and mindfulness classes for preschoolers ages 3–5. The Music Explorers Instructor delivers high-quality music education programming specifically designed for children ages 3-5.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field preferred
• 2–3 years teaching music theory and foundational concepts to young children (ages 2–8) required
• Experience planning and delivering structured, developmentally appropriate lessons
• Proficiency in basic music theory, movement, vocal instruction, and simple percussion required
• Strong understanding of preschool development, behavior management, and classroom engagement
• Ability to simplify complex musical concepts for young learners and build positive relationships
• Specialized early childhood music training (Orff, Kodály, Dalcroze, Music Together, Kindermusik) preferred
• Creativity, patience, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to travel across NYC (Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan)
• Commitment to at least one consistent full semester required (17 weeks)
