Staff Attorney

NYLAG is a leading civil legal services organization combating economic, racial, and social injustice. We are seeking a Staff Attorney to join our Medical-Legal Partnership (MLP) division, LegalHealth. The successful candidate will provide legal services to low-income individuals with serious health problems, train medical staff, and foster better communication and stronger relationships.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice law in New York
• At least two years of prior and relevant experience, preferably working in healthcare or with vulnerable populations
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong research and writing skills
• Ability to empathize with clients' challenges and help to problem-solve
• Spanish-speaking preferred
