Summer 2026 Legal Intern, Special Litigation Unit

NYLAG is a leading civil legal services organization that advocates for people experiencing poverty or in crisis. The Special Litigation Unit collaborates with NYLAG attorneys to develop and litigate complex impact litigations that advance social, racial, and economic justice. The legal intern will work closely with attorneys to develop new impact litigation cases and provide support in ongoing litigations.

Requirements

• Legal research and writing assignments
• Observe and/or participate in client calls and meetings, advocacy calls with opposing counsel and other outside parties
• Attend court appearances
• General litigation support
