Queens Ballpark Company is seeking a skilled and dependable Engineer to join our team at Citi Field, home ballpark of the New York Mets. This is a union position responsible for maintaining, operating, and repairing critical building systems, with a primary focus on HVAC and refrigeration.
Requirements
- EPA 608 Universal Technician Certification (CFC Universal)
- NYC Refrigerating Machine Operators Certificate (RMO)
- COF’s (Certificate of Fitness) issued by FDNY S12, S13, S14, S95, G60, and F60
- Demonstrated experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC equipment
- Skilled in the maintenance and repair of walk-in refrigerator boxes and freezers
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues independently or with a team
- Knowledge of proper refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and charging procedures
- Proficient in soldering and brazing techniques
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and effectively use a multimeter
- Comfortable working from aerial lifts and platforms
- Experience managing parts inventory
- Available to work overtime and respond to occasional emergency calls
- Able to follow rules, regulations, and established protocols
- Responsible for communicating progress or delays in assigned tasks
- Capable of submitting accurate reports and documenting completed work orders
