Job Description
The Operating Technician C will operate and maintain the Astoria 500 MW Combined Cycle Plant, ensuring availability and meeting plant heat rate requirements. This role involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and responding to plant operations. The position requires operation from the Control Room and requires a solid understanding of plant systems and equipment. The position also involves adhering to all federal, state, and local laws.
Requirements
- Operating a combined cycle power generation plant as Operating Technician
- Troubleshooting and repair of plant systems and equipment
- Independent judgment and decision-making skills
- Working a rotating 12-hour shift
- Valid Drivers’ License
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Ability to wear a full-face respirator
