Job Description
Subject Tutor is a part-time position at Newman University, offering in-person support to students in various subjects, including biology, math, nursing, and writing. Tutors are expected to be proficient in their subject area, patient, empathetic, and able to listen and strategize. They will assist students in developing foundational knowledge to build strong academic careers.
Requirements
- Proficiency in writing, receiving A's in 2XXX-level (or higher) courses
- Must be recommended by a Newman faculty member
- Must be reliable and possess a strong work ethic
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must have adequate computer skills
- Must be currently enrolled as a full-time Newman University student
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
