Job Description
NewsBreak is a Series-C unicorn startup that is redefining the way users interact with local news and their communities. As a Software Engineer-Web, you will play a pivotal role in building and optimizing our data acquisition infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in web crawling and data collection
- Proficiency in mainstream web scraping technologies and frameworks/tools
- Strong coding skills in at least one programming language
- Solid understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web protocols
- Experience with distributed systems, data pipelines, and storage solutions is a plus
