Principal Tax Attorney

NextEra Energy Resources is seeking a Principal Tax Attorney to work on its Federal Tax Planning & Policy team. The role will involve negotiating and structuring financing structures, reviewing financial models, and serving as a primary tax adviser to business clients.

Requirements

• Strong transactional tax background with experience working on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financings, and reorganizations.
• Significant experience working with the rules in Subchapter K and Subchapter C and structuring complex transactions, including preparing step plans laying out economic and tax aspects of transactions.
• Reviewing and revising transaction documentation, including drafting of economic and tax provisions of purchase and sale agreements and LLC/partnership agreements.
