Inpatient Coding / Clinical Documentation Improvement (IP/CDI) Trainer

We are seeking an Inpatient Coding & Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Trainer to support the development and performance of coding and documentation staff.

Requirements

• Develop and facilitate training programs on ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, DRG assignment, documentation improvement, and compliance requirements.
• Conduct onboarding sessions for new inpatient coders and refresher training for existing staff.
• Collaborate with QA and Operations teams to identify training needs based on audit trends, updates, and performance data.
• Translate clinical documentation requirements into practical, coder-friendly guidance to support accurate and complete code assignment.
• Monitor learner progress and provide feedback through assessments, coaching sessions, and follow-up training.
• Stay updated on the latest coding guidelines, CDI practices, payer expectations, and industry trends.
• Assist in the development of internal training materials, coding tip sheets, and documentation guides.
