Staff Tax Accountant

We are looking to hire a Staff Tax Accountant to join our team in either Garden City, New York. This role is responsible for supporting the preparation of tax returns, assisting with tax planning projects, and providing high-quality service to clients.

Requirements

• Prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
• Maintain organized work papers and documentation to support tax filings.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of engagements.
• Research tax issues and stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations.
• Assist in responding to IRS and state tax notices.
• Assist other team members with accounting responsibilities as necessary
• Assist with tax planning and special projects
• Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.

Benefits
