Staff Photonic Integrated Circuit Design Engineer

Staff Photonic Integrated Circuit Design Engineer at Nokia. Design high speed integrated photonic components, implement designs through fab and testing. Experience in key areas such as optical components design, epitaxy, fabrication and component/system level tests required.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of optical components design, epitaxy, fabrication and component/system level tests.
• Familiar with complicated photonic integrated circuit layout methodology and EAD tools
• Strong background with semiconductor optical devices such as lasers, detectors, modulators and other integrated waveguide devices.
• Use of optical and electronic modeling and simulation to design electro-optical devices, and lithographic mask specification, design and pattern generation.
• Fundamental understanding of optical communication systems, DWDM transmission systems, photonic integrated components, electronic (integrated) circuits, and signal analysis and processing.
• Ability to work with a large body of data and the necessary statistical analysis tools, and the ability to present the data and ideas to a diverse audience.
