COUNSELOR (Full-time Position)

The Counselor is responsible for assisting the Treatment Director in program planning/development, maintaining resident charts, and providing client services.

Requirements

• Maintain a 15-resident caseload
• Serve as liaison with community as needed
• Facilitate intervention/motivational groups for residents with special needs
• Maintain documentation of individual resident’s behaviors in resident charts
• Educate residents in group and individual settings about addictions
• Maintain and evaluate therapeutic records
• Conduct weekly supportive individual counseling sessions
• Assist in Quality Assurance Program
• Meet case management and counseling needs of the residents
• Assist the Treatment Director in developing and maintaining cooperative agreements
• Actively participate in professional associations/organizations
• Continue professional education and growth
• Assist with other duties as deemed necessary
