Design Engineer

Nortek Air Solutions is seeking a Design/Product Engineer to develop and maintain products, improving existing ones and contributing to customer feedback. This role involves 3D modeling, drawing creation, production implementation, engineering simulations, and collaboration with production teams. The engineer will also manage projects, conduct testing, and work with manufacturers.

Requirements

• Design and develop new products, from 3D modeling to drawing creation and production implementation
• Support design for manufacturability and collaborate with production teams
• Conduct engineering simulations and basic analysis to validate product performance
• Provide directions to factory and suppliers on production processes
• Manage projects and mitigate complex technological developments
• Work with manufacturing teams on vendor sourcing, selecting, and contract negotiations
• Manage complexity and customer interaction
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical/critical thinking skills
