Job Description
The Medical Radiation Physicist is a critical member of the Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare's Radiation Oncology programs. This role involves both clinical and machine physics, guiding treatment planning, performing dosimetry, and ensuring radiation safety. The position collaborates with physicians and other department's medical physicists to address programmatic needs and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Assist with the physics needs for the Brachytherapy program (HDR and seed implants).
- Oversee the treatment planning program.
- Direct Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy IMRT and Stereotactic RadioSurgery.
- Participate in quality assurance program.
- Performs chart reviews and therapy calculations, dosimetry assistance, and facilitates treatment plan development.
- Collaborate with Radiation Safety Program.
