Job Description
The Plant Engineer at NRG will be responsible for the administration of their Structural and Walking Working Surfaces Inspection Program, specifically focusing on NRG OPO-217 at the Limestone Generating Station. This involves providing technical support, managing repairs and reports, and overseeing work packages. The role requires a combination of inspection practice, repairs, and project management, including collaboration with various groups. This position is based in Jewett, TX.
Requirements
- Administer NRG’s Structural and Walking Working Surfaces Inspection Program.
- Provide oversite, direction and validation of 3rd party inspectors.
- Provide oversite, direction, technical consultation regarding repairs and findings to NRG and contractor work crews.
- Manage Station wide repair budget resulting from inspection findings.
- Develop long range budgets and schedules.
- Collaborate with Limestone staff, NRG Corporate Leadership, and 3rd parties.
- Develop project scope, budgets and schedules as needed.
- Perform field inspections, field measurements and equipment walk downs.
- Participate in the applicable internal and external user groups and implement industry best practices.
